Parcels travel by lorry and plane together with many others and pass through sorting centres in several countries. That’s why some goods can’t be sent: they are dangerous for the people handling them or prohibited by law. The list applies to all RufioExpress shipments and is in the Terms and Conditions.
Prohibited goods
- Dangerous, flammable or explosive goods: for example aerosol cans, paints and solvents, lighters and matches, perfumes and high-strength spirits, fireworks.
- Loose lithium batteries, including power banks.
- Weapons, weapon parts and ammunition.
- Narcotics.
- Cash and securities.
- Live animals.
- Perishable goods, such as fresh food.
- Illegal or counterfeit goods.
- Any goods prohibited by the courier or by the law of the countries of origin, transit or destination.
If you’re not sure
Write to us before booking (support): we’ll tell you whether the item can be sent. Always describe the contents fully and truthfully: anyone who makes a false declaration or sends prohibited goods is liable for the resulting damage and costs, and insurance does not cover prohibited goods.
Before you seal the parcel
Check that nothing has been left inside by mistake, such as a lighter in a pocket or a power bank in a backpack. Then pack it well (how to pack) and book your shipment.
